Welcome, friends! My name is Ashtyn and this is my blog! I am so excited to start this journey as I love writing and sharing about my life experiences, my likes, my interests, and pretty much anything that comes to my mind – which can be literally ANYTHING.
Why did I decide to start a blog? Simple. I have always enjoyed writing, especially when it comes to what I am passionate about and when I am given the opportunity to write what I want to write, rather than being told what to write. Makes a tremendous difference, no? I’m consistently sharing on my social media platforms and have dabbled in the more free methods of blogging yet never really made anything come of it. Since having my daughter in June 2020, I have been dreading having to go back to work instead of being a stay at home mommy. I want to be there for her firsts, I want to raise my beautiful girl. But it’s hard to do that when bills must be paid. I have a wonderful husband who works as well but I know one source of income just isn’t going to cut it. So…. here I am writing this blog post.
Why? Because I want to try to make something of it if it is written in the stars for me, all the while being able to share my life in a different aspect that allows me to say what I want to say, and discuss what I want to discuss. It’s actually pretty awesome the more I keep typing. As I said before, I’ve had the occasional instances of joining the free blogspot blog methods and just never kept up with it since it wasn’t MINE.
I’ve always been into researching – anything and everything. Over the last few years I can certainly look back and say without hesitation that I’ve researched various ways of how I can possibly make money from home, likely even from owning my own blog site. Recently, I’ve gotten back into the research of it all again, especially considering now of having to possibly utilize a daycare service for my daughter so I can go back to work full time (I’m currently working part time since going back post pregnancy). I really want to stay at home with her as much as I possibly can – it truly means so much to me. Currently, we’ve been fortunate to have our parents provide the ability to watch our daughter for free but it is sometimes such a hassle finding someone or relying on people outside of a designated daycare facility.
Honestly, I have big goals for this blog and I know I am good about completing my goals. I like to say, “If there’s something I want, I’m going to make it happen, no question”. I live up to that. For myself and for my family.
A little about myself…. I was born in the early 90’s and grew up a proud Air Force kid. I’ve seen a lot of places, experienced many different cultures of people, and have made so many great friends along the way. I am a very outgoing, down-to-earth person who works hard and loves animals. I’ve worked professionally in the animal industry for about the last 10 years and it truly is my passion, in addition to various different jobs (I like to say I’ve done it all). I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a beautiful daughter, to include THREE dogs. I still don’t really know how I let this happen with a young baby but, hey, life happens how it’s supposed to, right? Haha. I am a huge Horror fan and Halloween is, surprisingly, my favorite holiday (also just a part of my life). I love to cook and try new recipes.
Long story short… this blog will be quite a variety of things that likely will not relate. Welcome To The Circus! Step Right Up!
